1. Warm Ups

1. It is important to remember the first ethical principle of yoga, ahimsa, or nonviolence. That means you will move with care, be compassionate with yourself and adapt or modify any pose, including coming out of a pose, that doesn't feel good in your body on this day, at this time. Be mindful of any areas of your body that are injured, stiff, or tense. Remember Restorative yoga is all about 100% comfort and relaxation!

2. Connect with your breath, slow ... calm breaths. This isn't the time to speed up your breathing or break a sweat! Warm ups in Restorative yoga are gentle, slow stretches which prepare your body to release tension and relax.

3. Pick 2 - 3 gentle stretches , or create your own warm up flow - gentle movements and stretches that feel so good, you can sense any tension simply melting away.

4. Remember to move with care and connect with your breath, slowly becoming aware of each inhale and exhale ...
